Фермент, катализирующий окисление глюкозо-6-фосфата с образованием восстановленного НАДФ; одна из наиболее известных наследственных патологий - дефицит Г.-6-ф. glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; Г.-6-ф. часто используется в качестве популяционно-генетического маркера (G-6-PDH, G-6-PD); Г.-6-ф. сходна по структуре у различных организмов - например, у человека (эритроциты) и дрожжей состоит из 4 субъединиц и имеет общую молекулярную массу 210 и 212 кД соответственно.
